The new oak is evident, however it is incredibly well integrated with this balanced wine. Well polished with great complexity, sweetness, and length. Drinking well now, but has plenty of time to go. #chateaulanerthe #chateauneufdupape #rhonevalley #ctbucklinwine

Layer upon layer of rich, heady aromas waft from the glass. Boysenberry and black raspberry, dried cherry, leather, dusty earth and roasted meat. This voluptuous Chateuneuf graces the palate with superb depth, balance and concentration in equal measure. Tannins are fine and well-integrated and it culminates with notes of black currant, herbs de Garrigue, lavender, crushed stone and spice.

Number One of the 2000 and older flight. In with some tough company too. Delightful.

High octane and difficult to enjoy. There is little evidence of age. #chateaulanerthe #chateauneufdupape #c9 #rhonevalley #ctbucklinwine

The new oak on this #chateauneufdupape is still showing through. On the other hand, elegance shines through. The structure it firm and overall the wine is very tight and needs time. #chateaulanerthe #grenache #rhonevalley #ctbucklinwine

Ripe and intense fruit but amazing layers of complex spice. From the first plot to be re-planted with American rootstock in 1893.
A third each, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah
