Brooding and characterful. Tobacco and roses and gorgeous pure fruit. Softening all the time. Savory and delicious.

Outstanding showing for a 2nd wine in a classic vintage. Red fruit and red flowers, cedar and cigar notes led a pure and concentrated beam of blueberry and multiple red fruit notes with some vanilla and black currant. Feminine, elegant. Fine tannins disappeared on long finish.

Very very green

Graphite, dark fruit, damp earth, and light cedar. Would hold for 7-10 more years. A baby now.

The second label of Chateau La Mission Haut Brion. A lovely elegant and appealing blend of 56% CS, 39% Merlot, and 5% CF. Delicious and still young, another great example of the nice surprises that the 2008 vintage had to deliver. Full of cassis, earth, chocolate, cedar wood, full body, rich, firm tannins, fruity complex finish. My score 90, drink to 2025

Drinking great but just not all that memorable. Still a very enjoyable wine drinking at peak.

Umami bomb, Dried berry, mushroom, earth, tobacco, cedar. Classic.

Deep red, a lavish nose full of blue berries, violet, black current, coffee and earth, full chewy body, rich and complex, a lovely Bordeaux. My score 89, drink 2014-2021, perhaps longer

Simply stellar but the Dominus edged it out thus evening. However., this was spectacular!! A little barnyard funk and a lot of character!!
