Graves Red Bordeaux Blend

No formal notes. Round, opulent, pure and sweet. Amazingly fresh. Nimble.

Very solid '81. Fruit is fading but the wine is sound, a testament to La Mission in a tough vintage after 35 years.

Really opened up after an hour. Wonderful notes of tobacco, earth and smoke.

Off vintage but pedigree is all there. Neck fill and cork stained only 1/5 level. Classic balance and harmony in the glass of 1er Cru.

1981. Had beautiful herb components and was fresh and alive.

Red cherry, cedar, bit of mint, gravel. Nice texture and finish. Showing quite well and in its prime.

1981, one of most overlooked vintages in Bordeaux, this drank great!!

Perfect btl from a producer I have had many btls & vintages over the years. Always amazes me how well they do in off vintages. This showed a perfumed nose of black & red fruits, cedar, leather, savory spices, soy with tobacco leaf. Full bodied with a long finish. Another great btl of this from an owc.
