This is delicious.

Showing a beautiful nose with an elegant mouthfeel.

A blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot and Petit Verdot.

This 9 year old from the great 2015 is very impressive. I had the 2007 a few years ago, and it did not show as well as this.

92 points.

The 2015 La Lagune is terrific. Powerful and dense on the palate, with big, potent tannins, it will need at least a few years to fully come together. Hints of tobacco, cedar, licorice and smoke add shades of aromatic nuance. This is a fabulous effort. Don't miss it. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, February 2018)

Sipping Fine Wine

Has long history that dates back to the 16th century, under King Henri IV. In 1999, Chateau La Lagune was sold to the Frey family, and 2000 was their first vintage. A blend of 60% Cab Sauv, 35% Merlot & 5% Petit Verdot, aged 14 months in French, 50% new. Aromas of fruits, floral and earthy notes. On the palate cherry and sweet plum flavors, notes of cacao and licorice with underlying freshness. Fine tannins, tight needed more time, great mouthfeel, lingering ending with oak & tart fruits. Very nice!

Merry Christmas from Jim. Tasting 3 left bank Bordeaux. This is #1 and a great way to start! Deep ruby color. Plum snd cherry in nose. Same fruit on palate plus licorice and cocoa. Excellent complexity. Awesome wine.
