Bricking and some thrown sediment. Strong earthy nose, with gravel, moss, raisin, and red fruit.

Earthy, mushrooms, dried red fruit, acid and tannin well balanced. Ton of sediment. Had with pork chops and spicy sauce. 2009 great vintage.

Lovely merlot. Flavorful and a rich merlot aroma.

Opened a little tired. Thought I over aged it. Came around. Still gritty tannins. Perfectly ripe. Bang for your buck slam dunk

100% Merlot; Deep, dark, rich fruit, black cherry, plum, black currant, bell pepper, tobacco, chewy mouthfeel, tons of sediment. Delicious!!! Am not a Merlot fan, but this is awesome!!!

This is not a Bordeaux blend! It is 100% Merlot, in classic St Emilion, in 3.3 acres with only 580 cases in this 2009 beauty. Aged for 6 months in Taransaud and Darnajou barrels, unfiltered. 14.5% alcohol, strong acidity to age, but well balanced, great feel, and good finish. Still deep ruby color on the 2009. Deep dark fruit flavors with a spiciness not found in California Merlots. Great value, with faint hints of the highest pedigree 100% Bordeaux Merlot, Petrus, which is perhaps 50 times the cost in the good years.
