St. Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend

No idea where I got this bottle. Found it in the cellar and decided to open it. Sightly corked but drinkable. Nothing exceptional

Needs decanted. Full bouquet. No sense of oak or tannins.

2011 finally opening up

Not bad for $11 Costco wine

Smooth start... Finished like a Californian Cab.

Goes well with grilled tri tip

Red fruit jammy bouquet feels like medium body low, very balanced tannins, tastes mature and super smooth

Could be a nice bordeaux but too young and aggressive at this stage. Berries, leather nose. Tart, tannic finish. Definitely needs to be decanted prior to drinking.
