A rather massive and overt Rhône, deeply concentrated and high in alcohol. Does not drink as hot as expected, but does not have the freshness to balance that "15.5%" abv. This needs food to tame it. That said I love the savory/meaty elements this wine has. All brawn, in your face. Beef blood, leather, mocha, warm spice, deep, deep black/blue fruit, smoke and ash. This can be a great wine if you're up for it/have the right meal.

Firm, strong tannins, high acidity and full bodied. Excellent notes of warm spice, berries, coffee and smoke and leather. Paired very nicely with a Boeuf Bourgignon. Perfect alcohol percentage to pull out the tannins in the wine and the dish.
