I had it on the heels of a other red. Comparatively it was sweet but I look forward to a glass today unadulterated by a prior taste on my palate

2014-Extraordinary Wine! I use this site In the ancient French practice of bargain hunting fine wines, but seldom take the time to comment - but must for this. Silky, Full flavor & body. Smooth entre, flow & finish, esp for 13.5%. Vintner - Well Done! May be the best Merlot I've tasted. Will plan stop-by if estate is open to visitors.

The Monterey County Merlot by Château Julien is the best Merlot from California that I've tried. The 2014 vintage is just now reaching maturity and is almost perfect. You should let the wine decant for at least 20 minutes before enjoying. I loved it!
