Beautiful Châteauneuf du Pape. Lovely golden color, with rich oily legs. Aromas of pears, green apple, and almonds. Oaky, vanilla, and creamy burnt sugar flavors. It’s excellent!

Feb 26th, 2022Enjoyed with a light lunch of halibut and completely wine-unfriendly vegetables (artichokes AND asparagus) and it held up nicely. Acidity made it food friendly, body and honey notes gave it enough heft to deal with sweetness/vegetal notes from murderous vegetables.

50/50 Grenache/Roussane. Oiled lemon curd, honeydew rind, honey. Tiny zip on the finish. Nice nuttiness throughout. Oily and rich. Good!
