One of the most important dimensions to consider when eating a wine is deliciousness.

That’s what this wine offers. We had the 2016, in 2022, and we decanted it 3 or 4 hours before we drank it. It was awesome. This is a wine that could easily age for another 10–15 years, but it had so much depth and richness and balance. Enjoy the hell out of this one!

Red fruits, licorice and spices on the nose. Not very typical. The palate is very young and lively. Nice red berries all along, strong acid drive, good width with matter on the sides, there is an almost milky mouthfeel with a nice soft touch which goes up to the mid palate tannins part. The finish is kicked off with that string acid drive, these nice and easy tannins, that lovely tangy red fruit and these spices. Too young and needs some food to show its bright side. It was paired with a massive rare T-bone steak on the barbecue which helped the wine show off a bit.

Inky, a bit of acid. Pepper and a bit dry - pucker after a taste. I'm a big fan of Chateauneuf, but I've had better. I can't see drinking this on its own. And it will fight with any dish. You'd need something bold - spice and fat to serve it with.
