Liked it initially but the more I drank it, the more I realized that the finish was unresolved tannins and a little bitter dark plum.

Had this in the cellar over 10 years. Let it decant for about 2.5 hours. Mellow and good.

Mocha and spice on the nose and pallet. Low acid and still enough tannins to hold it together. Kind of a mashed berry mouth feel but in a good way. No bricking at all. Might buy another.

Spicy, a little barnyard-y. 2005 vintage tasting a little flat, drink sooner than later. Latent floral/lily aromas.

Tannin needs more time to soften and integrate with the plums.

Fluoride notes on the palate. Not bad.

Drank 2005 quite a few times recently which is very good, dark fruit, hint of vanilla, cigar box, savory. I agreed the wine is about high on tannin, but it taste great and balance after decant for about 30 mins or so.

Great start but the tannins catch up fast. Would buy again.
