Château Haut-Bergey
Pessac-Léognan Red Bordeaux Blend
Some say it’s the exceptional soils of clay and gravel washed down from the Pyrenees that give Bergey its charm. Deep Ruby with aromas of dark fruits, spice, cedar and smoke. On the palate flavors of plum, blackberry and black raspberry with cacao, oaky tones and mineral spice. Lingering finish ending with fruit and toasty cedar character. Good value.

Sep 8th, 2019Yes, young but I wanted to see what 14 is all about in Pessac. Dark bramble fruits, vanilla, leather notes, and velvety tannins, even at young age like this, and a bit of crush rocks. Paired this with a Portuguese soft shell clam recipe with Coriço. Melded well with the spices.

Jun 3rd, 2020An excellent value Bordeaux at $29. BlackBerry, prune, charcoal, black olive, and cigar. Drinking well now but not yet in prime drinking window. A couple more years of aging will do wonders.
