Love the balance and hint of mint with herbal aromas. Had grilled tenderloin steak with the wine and it was awesome.

Session 2 of Wine Essentials One at the Institute of Culinary Education Center for Wine Studies.

A 5me Cru (Fifth-Growth) Left Bank Bordeaux from the Pauillac region. Dark, intense, and focused qualities with more tannin are characteristic of these Cabernet-based Bordeaux. Although this wine is ten years old, the color is still fresh with more pigment. This wine is aging more slowly. Herbaceous and black fruit bouquet, and earthy, graphite notes on the nose. On the palate are deep, dense, and tannic flavors. This is still fairly tight and will continue to age beautifully. Just magnificent.
