Surprisingly light in colour - cherry juice with a watery rim but still dark at the core; ripe plumbs, ripe leather, hints of pepper and cherries; slightly light on the palate but peppery tannins and a fine streak of acidity running through it. Leave for another 10!
Oh, and the pivot glass was fun but frankly, I was terrified of knocking it over the whole time. There's something unnerving about the weight distribution...

Took a few hours for some funk to blow off but then excellent. Leather, tobacco, and wet earth matched with good acidity.
