Extra points for purity and balance. The #2006 is in a great place right now. A lot of cassis and currant fruit, a nice and easy flow to the aromas and palate flavors. Tannins are medium+ grain, medium acids. A long, pure finish that beams the fruit with some toast from the oak. A confident little Claret indeed!

What a beautiful nose! Beautiful sweet cherry, white chocolate with eucalyptus and rose petal, gravel, and a touch of pencil lead with an underlying aroma of sweet cream (like the cream in stuffed French toast). Flavorful and expansive with ripe plum and sweet mouth-coating tannins. Lovely Pauillac.

Hints of cedar and sweetness, but not too much. Focus is on earth and, in the mouth, there is a pencil lead texture.

Very very melded from age but perhaps past its best. A touch more acid and vibrant fruit needed.
