Inky dark red. Black cherries, oak and a touch of licorice on the nose. Soft and smooth on the palate, displaying very ripe red fruits, touches of nutmeg and transitioning towards an ideal though typical leather, char, and pleasantly tannic finish. A very yummy left bank bord, will revisit once this cold passes as I'm sure I'm missing some really nice notes.

Had two great bottles of this. Not this one. Corked! Major wet dog.

I first tasted this several months ago and bought a case to drink over the next 5+ years. This latest bottle lacked a bit of the mineral inflicted depth that first intrigued me, but still really solid for the $ (cheap at Costco).

Licorice, black fruit, nice tannin and acid. Great value for something this enjoyable, although it may be a function of vintage. I paid $16

2010 was very good, bought a case at Costco and sample one every 6 months or so. An 8 year old wine that tastes and looks younger. Very mellow tannins.

Today marks the day of a massive hail storm in Medoc.... Balanced overall - plum and blackberry fruit, dried brush, green olive, and tobacco on the nose. Soft dark berry fruit with clove and black pepper notes. Finish builds and is impressive at the price point. Tannins are well integrated. Drink now or over the next few years. Fantastic QPR.

More Merlot than I like. If you like merlot/tannins it's a good choice for you

Like others, this didn't send me anywhere but I completely enjoyed it. Bright and juicy on the front palette. Striking acidity leads to green and herbal notes. Excellent for $11 at Costco!
