Apr 18th, 2020Agree with other comments. Bitter tanin on the back. Not a silky Bordeaux.

Oct 5th, 2019I will drink it because I have it, but this wine is like a shrill, thin-lipped, angry woman. Even aerated it is sour and bereft of the depth I crave.

2016 vintage. Dark burgundy in color and looks oily. Has a modernish nose for a Bordeaux. Aromatics are weak and of baked fruit and alcohol and revels Silky mouthfeel due to lack of structure and tannins. Black cherry is about all there is on the palate. A tad of peppery cough syrup creeps in. Strangely more similar to some Garnachas I’ve tried. Has a slightly green and bitter finish. Sells for $9, but drinks like an even cheaper wine. Almost terrible.

Deep and dark blood red color. Pleasant aroma of cherry and mineral/soil. Flavor is similar, faintly sweet red fruit initially, then becomes quite dry with notes of minerally soil with a little spice. Finishes a touch acidic with medium tannins. Decent complexity and flavor composition, it's a respectable wine for the price, but too dry and acidic for my tastes. I should probably stop buying cab sauv/merlots since I say the say thing about them every time 😂
