Smells like a race horse this one, smoky, sadle leather, very light tough of brett with some very broody Danson fruit, wood smoke, Chinese spice. Well evolved palate with plush blue and black fruit and powdery tannins. Really drinking very well at the mo.

1998: tough year, with rain affected fruit. But good breed on the nose, fullish depth, meaty, witha hint of black olive. Still showing deep blackcurrant, and light tobacco, cigar and smoke. Very soft, but still showing light grip in places. Acidity is very diminished, wouldn't want to age this any more. Meaty, med to full and good classic Pauillac.

Murky, smokey Hoi sin & forest mulch with a touch of bitter cherry. Dusty tannins, dark fruit. Interesting

Very dark purple robe with slight “brick” on the rim, very cabernet nose with blackcurrant, asphalt, cigar box, tobacco and top soil notes, fresh, balanced and complex, floral notes and hints of oak spices, its complex and balanced. Pretty long and great with food. We loved it !!!

Absolutely gorgeous. Hoisin, baked plum, worn leather, saddlery, black olive, horsetails. Gorgeous mix of fruit and savory. Wonderful integration... integrity of the balance is perfect. Get your hands on this.

Classic, old-fashioned leftbanker. Cedar, cigarbox, forestfloor, fading berries in the back. This Pauillac has always struck me as a modest, light-to-medium-bodied interpretation of the appellation. It's very good, though.
