Saint-Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend

Nice colour for an old vintage Barnyard giving way to classic Bordeaux nose. Dark fruit and hint of chocolate Still good tannins and well rounded but finish is a bit short.

Really dusty. Lots of earth and deep fruit. A pleasing funk.

Vertical tasting

Getting vacation started off right.

Open and generous nose of canned cherries, forestfloor, cigar, grilled meat and bellpepper. Medium length and persistence, classic presentation of a mature Rightbanker. Sophisticated, quite elegant and very, very pretty.

Smooth, med in length, not as tannic as thought. Goes well with ribeye steak.

So earthy. Pencil lead. Tobacco. Beginning to decline a bit. This is the last of many :(
