Château Grand Corbin-Despagne
Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend
Cherry, a bit of green pepper, an earthy note, a bit of tar too. That's very inviting and quite profound. The palate is great, with a strong acid drive, a velvety mouthfeel through and throuugh, a good width with a nice matter on a the sides, a grainy tannin wall in midpalate which is great and wide yet elegant. The finish displays mocha notes, that grainy note, a cherry note, an earthy twist and a nice bitterness coming up in the end. 2011 is often described as an off vintage or at least not homogenous but I recently had only good tasting experiences in Bordeaux with it. 10 years old and kicking!

Apr 4th, 2016Nice deep colour and delightfully fruity nose. Smooth and rich on the palate in spite of how fruity this Bordeaux blend is. Very nice Saint-Émilion for the price.
