Pomerol Red Bordeaux Blend

Nose: slight smoke, pencil lead, black cherry, black plum, blackberry.
Taste: Beet, bay leaf, rosemary, black olive tapenade, cedar. Medium + acidity, medium tannins. 25% new Allier oak, 15 months in barrel.
85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc.

Super ripe purple fruit. Rich tannin. Elegant. My only knock is it isn't that complex. Finished quickly. Could still use a few more years in bottle.

Party pours!!

A little tight. Highly concentrated red and blue fruits; ripe plums. Thyme, cocoa, a little green olive. Good, dense structure. Tasty.

2010. While some may not see this producer as ever blockbuster, no one can argue that these are always superb drinking at all stages of their lives. Never let down by a bottle.

Fragrant Rosemary nose. Expresso, rose, tar.

Sneaky good. Long history but recent developments at the Chateau make this an exciting one to watch.
