Charming, still primary cassis/blackberry fruit, medium bodied 13.5%ABV, tannins are present but very polished and not overpowering. Very elegant. Needs more time to bring about tertiary notes. 69% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc. 18-28 days fermentation, temps 26-28 C. Aged 15-18 months in 50% new French oak, 50% 1st fill. Racking every 3 months.

Deep Ruby red with lovely fruit aromas of red/blue and dark berries and cinnamon spice. The palate on this blend of Cabernet Sauvignon: 69%; Merlot: 27%; and Cabernet Franc: 4%; shows raspberry, cherry and black currant flavors with tobacco and cedar. The tannins are well developed and structured, full and rich but calmed down after decanted, well balanced. The finish was complex, elegant and enjoyable, giving mineral nuances with good length. The 2012 is tasting well now and will get better over time. Nice

Fun trying the new vintage compared to the teenager. A lot more fresh fruit but still surprisingly earthy and rustic for being a 2012. Great balance and length.

Закрыто, сдержано, минерально. Цветочно-ягодно-замшевый тон, элегантно. Тело умеренно плотное, суховатые интенсивные танины. В целом симпатично. 16.5/20 (91/100)

Cherry and a hint of chocolate on the nose. Good and balanced tannins. Thank you, Trader Joe’s.

Color : Red
Wine estate : Château Giscours
Designation : Margaux
Name : Margaux Grand Cru Classé
Country : France
Vivino : 4/5
Note : With its garnet color, we are in front of a very nice 3rd Grand Cru Classé. An aromatic nose with hints of blackberries, spices and chocolate. On the palate, the black fruit attacks the puck with creaminess like a velvet caress. The final is long and succulent, a wonder that will be even better in a few years.

Light cherry and earthy aromas. Cherry complimented by a bit of cigar box and earth. Tannins are soft and drinking well now. Decanted for 45 min.

Light, peppery nose with earthy notes. Medium to light body and similar finish. Notes of dark berries, but overall drinks much lighter than the dark color suggests. Not really a match for a steak, but does need something to moderate the power behind it.
