Smelling this wine put such a smile on my face. A heavenly cacophony of dark red fruit, vanilla and cedar. On the palate, this is a very full bodied, virile Saint Emilion with lots of red fruits - cranberry, blackberry, cassis - and a wave of strong espresso, dark chocolate and vanilla.

Still incredibly youthful, very dry with abundant tannin and pitch-perfect acidity. Finish is very long. Impressive and seriously enjoyable stuff.

2011 vintage drinking very well. 5 years old still exhibiting dryness but not too obtrusive. Certainly a 94 point wine as Parker articulates. We are getting more of this!

Beautiful Merlot base. Will be a solid wine in a few years

A good balance of gripping flesh and brooding spice, with just a dash of earthy punch. I like my St. Emilion like I like my adjectives: suggestive and a little rough around the edges.

A little too chalky. Should've waited another year.
