Paired with Noir de Cassis, Quito, and Coro chocolates. Brought out the cassis and softened the tannins. Yum 😋

Yesterday I had the 2011 Château Fonbadet Pauillac. 75%Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Merlot a very nice Bordeaux Blend in a weak 2011 vintage.

On the nose was black cherry, black raspberry, blueberry, black currant, licorice, menthol and earth.

On the palate the was black cherry, black raspberry, blueberry, chocolate, licorice, herbs, spice and rich earth.

The wine is medium to full bodied with a softy velvety mouth feel, medium+ acidity and medium+ fine tannins that leads to a long enjoyable finish. Continue to enjoy your weekend and have a sage Mothers Day. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

Basil, tarragon, pepper, crushed rocks, pencil shavings, dense on the nose. Ruby with medium minus concentration. Lifted black fruits. Medium plus acidity, elevated tannin and body. Tight and firm tannins.

375ml. Multiple parcels located adjacent to, and/or near, Mouton, Latour, Lynch Bages, etc. One of the least expensive prices of admission to Pauillac.

Violet, earthly, roses on the nose. Bright black cherry, chocolate, and crushed berries. A bit harsh upon opening and needs time to open and settle, about 1-2 hrs in decanter. Nice lingering finish with mild tannins. Great with hard cheeses and grilled red meats.

Garnet color with black fruits, graphite, damp earth, dried savory herb and cedarwood aromas. On the palate medium-bodied, but feels lean. It's fresh and elegant with black currant, blackberry, and a bit of plum flavors with a bit of blueberry peaking through given some time in the glass. Very satisfying finish. Blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon/25% Merlot; 13% abv
