Two killer wines from killer vintages. Remarkably similar upon opening. The '82 faded and showed much more earth after an hour. The '90 however, was gorgeous throughout the night.

Was not showing to it's potential, but stewed red fruit, compost soil, and clay. It's lack of acidity was what surprised me most

Minerals and a cool climate redfruit aroma and flavor profile, soft tannins, nice balance, seems to show it has another 10-15 years of further development, but also a long, lingering finish and drinks very well tonight!
