First sniffs shows me that this is a dark, sturdy and masculine take on Pomerol. 2 hours of decanter time slightly softens things up.
Black cherries, prunes, salty licorice, toasted oak, grilled veggies, ink, chocolate and balsamic notes in the back.
This wine has some considerable concentration and weight, lingers long and softly in the mouth once the wonderful grainy and slightly charred tannines give way to the layered and complex inner structure. Entering its drinking window.
