It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix. Here is a very unique wine, for Pomerol.
Purple in color with a wide purple rim.
Strong nose of black fruits with chocolate notes.
Full bodied and soft with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with black cherries, currants, light wood, spices, coffee, earth, dark chocolates, tobacco leaf, herbs and peppercorn.
Nice finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a very tasty Cabernet Franc from Pomerol. Soft and elegant. Balanced and complex.
Still young, but already enjoyable even by itself. Spicy and rich. Fruit forward and elegant with good structure.
Interesting stuff from the Right Bank of Bordeaux.
100% Cabernet Franc grapes were aged for 15 months in (75% new) French Oak barrels.
14% alcohol by volume.
