@Delectable This is the blanc, no red can be bottled under the Saint Macaire appellation. Anyway, most of the wines in the appellation are sweet, this is the rare dry one, and it's fantastic. 70% Semillon, the rest SB and Muscadelle. Drinking very well, pretty with a few years of age. There's a honeyed, nutty tone to the passion fruit, apricot and vanilla flavors. Creamy, textured and rich. Really good stuff. Relatively pricey at €18, but worth every penny.

2012 very floral at first, then opens up to more butterscotch notes. Well worth aging for a few years.
