Vacqueyras

2013. Grippy tannins. Red fruit. Soft tannins. 9 years old so pretty developed.

Like "a dead animal in a berry bush" the sommelier said, "but in a totally good way" -- it's actually a lot better than that

Great vintage and essential vacqueyras. I love how this region so beautifully marries flavors of rock, stone and earth wth juicy fruit. This has a pronounced raspberry character before minerality and some spicy heat linger.

Nice bright juicy fruit balanced with earth and mineral character.

Nice smooth French wine. No food required, but paired with spinach salad and steak.

Spicy, long tasting Rhone. Great with lamb
