Delicious example of the incredible value to be found in the south of France. 40% Syrah, 40% Grenache and the rest cinsault. Garrigue and blackberry with surprisingly light strawberry notes underneath from the Grenache. For 10 bucks a bottle, just goes to show that if you know where to look there is great value to be had...especially in France

No bottle shot, but I was very surprised by this wine. Strawberry and black cherry, potpourri of herbs and dried lavender, baking spices, and faint smojed/cured meat notes. A persistent savoury herbaceousness really drew me in. Everything very balanced and sub-$20. This is why I love the Languedoc.
