Deep Ruby, 63% Merlot blend, with balance Cab Sauv & Cab Franc, simple aromas of dark berry fruits and spice. On the palate black fruits and some sweet spicy notes. Lively acidity, firm tight tannins, short finish. Just ok! Drink now!!

Tried the ‘16 vintage. Dark Ruby with purple edges and big spice aromas overwhelming the fruit. On the palate, some dried fruit flavors and heavy spice. Harsh tannins, unpleasant hard to enjoy. Pass. Tasting Sample.

Dark purple color with flower perfume, leather and plums on the nose. Very tannic right out of the bottle. Let it breathe for an hour and it’s much more balanced. Wonderful Bordeaux mouth feel with long finish. Medium bodied right bank blend. 4 stars for value - it’s a keeper.

The first average bottle we've had this trip. I'm going back to South African wines from here on out

Tried another bottle. Dark purple with heavy spice aromas overpowering the fruit. Palate was still very tannic with nothing but heavy spice. Hard to drink this wine. Pass. Tasting Sample.

Super dry with raspberry and vanilla up front but the super dry tannins on the finish. Had the 2019 in January of 2023. Had with butternut squash risotto and chicken apple sage sausage. We were drinking the Pinot Grigio I cooked with but wanted a “little something more”. Thought it paired well with the butter and cheese in the risotto. I would buy this one again.
