Smoky dark fruit on the nose. Raspberry, black cherry, and a bit of spice on the palate. Half carbonic for the fermentaion process mellows out the tannins/acids and brings out the fruit while adding a bit of funkiness. Very easy to drink.

This is a wine that makes you want to move to France so you can buy cases of it at 3€/bottle. At $10 stateside it's still a good deal. Brief nose, cigar box aroma. Violet, cedar, sour cherry, inky, astringent finish. Bit hollowed out in the cheeks. A great quaffer.
