Château des Tours
Réserve Côtes du Rhône Red Rhone Blend
Really engaging nose. At first this was disappointing on the palate, but with time complex ripe berry fruit and garrigue notes emerge. This bottle is a touch maderized, a little sweet and on the verge of soapy on the palate. Transparent color and resolved tannins.

Oct 19th, 2022Beautiful flavor and balance. I almost feel guilty drinking this so soon. Loads of pomegranate, cranberry, dark black cherry and beautiful all spice with bright, forward acid. Wishing I had saved this for Thanksgiving. They were meant for each other.

Nov 18th, 2020Intensely aromatic on the nose and deep and mouth coating on the palate. Kirsch cherries, black cherry liquor, lots of exotic spices and purple flowers. It’s a powerful wine and the ripeness of the vintage shows, but it still displays an underlying elegance and seductive nature that comes inevitably with anything Emmanuel Raynaud of Château Rayas, touches.

Jun 26th, 2020The 2014 Château des Tours Côtes du Rhône has really come into its own, wafting up from the glass with masses of smoky, ripe strawberries, sweet minerals, a hint of earth and undergrowth. On the palate, soft, enveloping textures soothe the sense with ripe red fruits and sweet herbs as zesty spices and minerals sizzle, all framed by a tug of gentle acids. It finishes long and wonderfully fresh, strawberries upon strawberries, with a slight yellow citrus twist. Wow.

Mar 5th, 2020Full bodied, opulent and unctuous - talk about a mouthful of flavour. Fruit salad flavours with low acid - bottom line delicious. From the Vacqueyras property of Emmanuel Raynaud of Chateau Rayas. 100% Grenache Blanc. Quite an adventure! Will seek out in the future.

Jan 9th, 2019An outstanding Cotes-du-Rhone from the guys who make Rayas. Rich, spicy aromatics lead a voluptuous and sexy, earthy core of mushroom and strawberry fruit. Not a hard edge anywhere. Superb. Thanks, Mark!
