Love 2015 in Margaux. Floral nose with loads of cassis and gravel. Really vivid. Lilies even. Palate has loads of freshness and dazzling purity. Huge fruit but wonderful acidity and so balanced. Ripe and juicy tannins. So pure. Terrific texture. Awesome length. Just a star. So open.

2020/3/7 with roasted pigeons sauce Perigeux, white asparagus with beurre blanc and bitter greens with walnut oil vinaigrette. Black berries, cedar, approachable but with depth, no overdone elements, no noticeable oak - hey, it’s a balanced, enjoyable, somewhat reasonably priced Bordeaux. How about that.
