St. David's Bench, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, CanadaNice, smooth, easy drinking wine to have with dinner. Medium bodied, fruity, but not sweet, which is great with a take out rotisserie chicken from Longos. Definitely, a back pocket wine for an impromptu dinner.

Mar 12th, 2019Improved when chilled, but disappointing. Over-ripe for the style and too much alcohol.

Jan 12th, 2018Shocked that this is unoaked. Chocolate and some spice, crisp acidity, easy on the tannin. Went surprisingly well with gazpacho. A great summer sipper, too.

Attempt #2, we grabbed the Château des Charmes Gamay Noir Droit to pair with a homemade grilled cheese on focaccia with Iberian Salami and Chorizo. The Gamay has some bottle age but is still quite good! The color is a brick red, the nose has blackberry. There is good acidity to balance the fruit. A very drinkable favorite from this lovely Niagara winery!
