Château des Antonins
Bordeaux Supérieur
Really lovely. Cigar box, cassis, cherry. Tasting pretty awesome right now. Not the most complicated wine but sure is good with meat on a weeknight.

Apr 14th, 2021Great balance of Cab Sauvignon and Merlot. Easy to pair with cheese or drink alone. A bit more air time brought out the brightness of the wine after a few hours

May 29th, 2018Initially it promised much. Cloves, cinnamon and dried plum on the nose. Reasonably well balanced on the palate, quite intense and sweet, spicy-Syrah like. Over time it lost its poetry. The nose hinted of vanilla and jam, strawberry and prunes. Very similar to a cheap supermarket Australian Shiraz. The nose promised sweetness, but in the mouth one encountered a vegetal (green pepper), savoury wine with lots of black pepper. Very challenging. Pleasant overall but an unexpected development.
