2020 vintage. Equal parts of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon with 9% of Petit Verdot. Paired it with the same vintage of the best wine of the Haut-Médoc appellation, La Lagune. While it doesn't have the concentration and depth of the latter, Villegeorge stands on its own in a lighter, more forward style, with elegance, freshness and silky tannins. Terrific value. Abv 13,5%.

Nose of cassis, graphite, and earth. BlackBerry, leather, earth, and leather on the palate. Medium body, Medium +, but more subtle finish.

The wine has lost its fruit and tannan. Not yet maderized but will be soon. You'll need to let air for a fee hours before the acid clears out.

Bu avant les fêtes de Noël 2015 sur du cerf, excellent, rond et fruité pour un bordeaux. Très très agréable à boire. Magnum a 38€ chez Souleau.
