Pretty good at 24 years old. Still in mid-life, solid res fruit, underlying Brett (not a problem for me), and easy drinking. But this wine got major hype way back when and prices soared. PR better than the quality.

Tannins are still very solid on this wine, much more time to go; dense with mocha, coffee, leather, cedar, stewed fruits and blackberry pie. Strong use of oak.

A wine that I have had many times that is starting to enter its prime drinking window showing a polished & silky texture with red berry fruits, plum, mocha, graphite, forest floor, sweet spices & tobacco.
