Château de Ségriès
Côtes du Rhône Red Rhône Blend
Lilacs and mulberry make up the nose
Medium bodied with blackberry, dark dark cherry, some light floral essence, good tanning structure and fun acidity - Apricot and cherry stone.
Such a good price on this, I always buy one and set 2 down for a bit.
Cheers.

Forgot about this one!
Sometimes you rearrange the wine closet to find a wine you forgot about.
That aged wine nose of hazelnuts and brick dust..
Hazelnuts, pomegranate (whole - pith, seed), star anise, sorrel. Unique, and still has a great oak/acid integration, with a bit more with the popsicle stick tannins.

A funky fruit taffy wafts.
¡Felíz día de Muerto!
A classically great value this one is still young and needs some time.
Luscious strawberry / Betty blend, Greek oregano, sharp persimmon, lively on the tongue, and searing lightning acidity.
Always a good purch.

As usual a superb value from the Rhone.
Moist earth complemented with fern.
Dark berry concentration, smoke, Thai basil, old sweat lodge stones. I am not surprised I keep finding this in my tiny cellar - as long as you let it age a couple of years, and allow it to open up a couple of hours, this is an amazing value.

A perfect reggae red,
Smells of old jelly jars in the cellar,
Tastes of boysenberry, blueberry, and sunshine. The tannins have integrated well, and seem almost harmonious with the acid.
A couple of years really made this vintage shine.

Pruning nose, brackish color, the sure tells of an aged wine.
A touch of cocoa, pepper, seeds from a pomegranate, Gritty, floaty, tannins.. Great acidic backbone, that has totally held well. I have always loved this wine, perhaps because of my close proximation to the importer, so it has been ingrained in my easy coast brain. Worth holding for a few gears, to see what blossoms.
Cheers to hump day tasters.

Nice CDR. Earthy on nose but floral and fruity on palate.
