Château de Saint-Pey
Saint- Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend
Nose: so good. Herbs, wintergreen, blackberry, leather, sweet tobacco, a little cooked meat, forest floor, a little coffee (medium roast!). Wonderful.
Taste: as it smells. Medium weight, cedar, herbs, forests, bitter coffee (light roast now), smooth. Delicious stuff. There’s a lovely juiciness that lingers - surprising for something 10 years old. 92-93.

Nov 14th, 2021Good value. Not overly fruit forward, much more on the earthy side. Pleasant finish.

Mar 15th, 2020Deep dark garnet color. Nice dark cherry round fruit and depth here. Enough complexity with wood and earth. What a nice finish with firm long tannins that melt into a clean finish. Best merlot dominant wine I’ve had in a while. Had it with a NY strip at Capital Grille.
