Classic, scented merlot-based claret without the overwhelming tannin of some Bordeaux.

Right Bank (just outside of St. Emillion) Blend of Merlot (75%), Cabernet Franc (23%) and Malbec (2%). Deep crimson color with purple highlights. Aromas of ripe dark fruits and toasty oak and a hint of roasted nuts. Pallet is driven by intense black currant flavors with hints of baking spices. Full bodied and highly concentrated. Long finish, bold tannins and plenty of fresh acidity. Solid value.

3.3. A slightly bland Bordeaux blend, but still quite tasty after it breaths. Good fruit but not very complex. Still a great but at $12.34, regularly $13.99.
