Merlot dominated Claret isn't my usual buy, but this (with 1/3 Cab Franc) has a clear structure to go alongside the crowd pleasing full mouth of fruit of the '10s. Lovely stuff, especially at sub-£10. — 10 years ago

100% Cab F. Ripe sweet black cherry, earthy, autumnal, smoky with well integrated minty, green pepper notes. There's good depth behind the Cab Franc funkiness. Medium to full, light chewy tannins, balanced acid, more plummy, red fruit on the palate, with black p, cedar, tobacco, earthy notes on the finish. Good depth — 9 years ago

A Costco home run, I think this was like 10 bucks. What a great value, this drinks like something much more than that. I'm drinking the 11 and based on the reviews there is clearly some variation between vintages. Mine drinks like a dry old world cab and merlot blend. Nice structure and finish will some oak and not much fruit. Very good. Decanted for 6 hours and it really sings. Will buy more, a lot more. — 8 years ago
