Dec 31st, 2022En Magnum, purchased from le Petit Baron de Montfaucon at the winery. Absolutely lovely and still should develop, nowadays Rudi (des Pins) labels this as a Lirac, lovely balance, medium-long finish, wonderful CdR!!

Sep 8th, 2018Back in 2009 Jancis R wrote "...considerable ripe fruit character and quite a bit of dry tannin on the finish." Eight years on here's my suggestion--decant for at least an hour...definitely cellar temp...forget the fancy wine glasses. (You choose the hearty red meat dish.) This ain't no sipping wine.

Jul 5th, 2015The nose is old world barnyard funk, mushrooms, earth and damp forest. The wine still offers complexity and depth with beautiful Rhone fruit. A lovely surprise for a 4th of July BBQ Magnum.. Can't wait to open the 1998
