Light bodied, perfumed, delicate red fruit and structure. A Bourgogne that works with a salad..pretty cool.

The second wine I had last night was this one from Burgundy. The nose had good strawberry, eucalyptus, hints of raspberries, and dusty soil. On the palate the strawberry came through with sour cherries. There was good tannin structure, but again the bottle was on the weak side. Not all too bad though.

Smoked strawberry, blueberry, cassis, pomegranate, minerals, earth. Pretty nose, bursts out the glass with bruised red and blue fruits. Just enough grippy tannins to make you crave more.

Had a 2012 in Lyon. Nice, light, crisp, refreshing Burgundy.

This wine surprised me. Being from the Côte Channolaise I didn't expect too much. The nose had some underbrush and hints of barnyard. Bright berry/cherry flavor caught my attention right away. Refreshing acidity balanced with rustic tannins make this a great qpr Burg. The main drawback was the lack of structure and complexity.

Light bodied and quite dry. I am discovering that burgundies are not my thing, but this paired nicely with stuffed mushrooms. The Mrs liked it, so we'll probably get it again.
