This vintage is 100% Sauvignon Blanc. Bright pale gold color. Aromas of citrus, tropical and green orchard fruit, white flowers and fresh herbs. Flavors of mango, grapefruit, gooseberry, lemon and nectarine fruit along with spent yeast (lees aging?) and those fresh leafy herbs. Lovely mineral note on the long and refreshing finish. Medium-plus body and a soft creamy (oak aging) texture. Crisp acidity and a high level of tension. Quite ripe and fruit forward but very well balanced. Reminiscent of a New Zealand Sauvy B in some ways. Thanks for sharing this interesting wine, Kase.
