Brouilly Gamay

Cherries and dried strawberries on the nose with a touch of bazooka bubblegum and rose petal. Confirmed on the palate with some stalky tannins and med acid, med/ med- alcohol, med- body. Med + Finish is dominated by persistent dark red fruit. Kind of the middle ground between a broad shouldered moulin and a feminine fleurie.

Not bad for a sub $20 Cru Beaujolais found at local grocer

Great fuller bodied Beaujolais Cru wine.

Magical with Filipino adobo chicken thighs.

I've only had the Nuevo from this region, and this is the grown up version. Flavors are full here. This is a nice introduction to French wine, and at a reasonable price.

Paid $20 - great body, low tannin, easy to drink. Would def buy again

Slightly dusty on the front with grippy rhabarb flavors that turn fruitier with notes of strawberry and hints of dried thyme.

Very tart and slightly acidic. Smells like strawberries, tastes like cranberries. There are mild tannins that rear their head every few sips. A nice backyard Beaujolais for this 80• February day. Not exactly what I'm searching for after my first Foillard Fleurie. The quest continues...
