It’s as if a bundle of herbs was dropped into a fruit bath inside a woodsy basket. Happy to be sipping this on a frigid night.

Right, does anyone else think good, acidic Loire cab franc pairs pretty well with BBQ? (Ribs, brisket, wings, mac and cheese, cornbread.)

Smells like dusty raspberries. Very dark on the palate (cassis and that salted licorice that Scandinavia does so well), but yet quite light. A little acid on the finish.

Nice natural Saumur. On the nose, green bell peppers, blackberry juice and pomegranate. In the mouth, green peppers, bright blackberries, red currants and orange peel. Bright acidity, moderate tannins, medium finish. Classic.
