Tradition de Campuget Costières-de-Nîmes Red Rhône Blend

Ending the year on a high note with a Wednesday Wine Committee appearance. As always, wines are tasted blind. This week, there was 1 sparkler, 3 whites, 2 reds and 1 dessert.

Typical French rosé. I have a hard time finding French rosés that I love, and this was a bit out of my wheelhouse. Very dry on the palate and an oily finish. Easy to pair with food. Faint kiwi and melon. I guessed French rosé ✔️.

Fresh. Strawberry. Steel. Some lemon. Bright acidity.

12 buck chuck at Von’s. Fruitie, short, but what do u expect from a 12 dollar bottle. Pairs well with Netflix and journal writing. The 13% alc makes it okay to enjoy two bottles . 😂😳🙃

Pleasant, decent, nice berries on the end. Kinda short

This Grenache/Syrah is nice and soft with savory flavors and muted dark fruits.

It's fine...bright acidic fruit, with a slightly sticky finish. It's about $9 and is totally okay for drinking on a hot day out by the grill.

Wine was riddled with sulfides. Decanting helped a little.

Very lite

A very nice inexpensive white wine. Nice and crisp, very good with some lobster ravioli

Very basic Syrah/Grenache blend. No flaws but not particularly memorable or distinctive. Paired with homemade vegetable soup and a crusty multigrain baguette. $10.
