Old school village style Bordeaux. This is NOT the sort of wine that you would normally associate with Bordeaux. This is, instead, the sort of wine that I remember my parents drinking on a hot summer's day when we holidayed in the region, available in the supermarket for around 20 Francs (GBP2 at the time, probably $4 or so at the time). Soft velvety texture and tons of violets and plums. Not bad for what it is.
