Drank 8/19/17 with burgers. PNP
Light but fairly classic nose of dark fruits and pencil lead, with a hint of green bell pepper (5% Cab Franc in the blend). Palate of cherry and cocoa powder, and blackberry, with a touch of new oak. Medium, drying tannins, not quite enough fruit to keep it in balance. Moderate finish. Drinks a little better as it warms. Ok value Bordeaux for an everyday dinner ( I think it was around 10-12$ at Costco).

Aug 20th, 2017Definitely a French wine! Rubber, cumin and nectarine on the nose. Very tannic upfront with black cherry and plum notes. Mineral water on the mid palate and finishing with some spicy heat.
